“Get Cancelled” is a short film by Mathew George, made for his pre-graduation project at Srishti Manipal Institute in November 2022. I worked on Mathew’s crew as a Camera Assistant to the Director of Photography, Ameya Hamlai.

It was on this project that I realized that moonlight is blue, and that no production ever begins on time. Especially if the core crew shows up an hour after the call time.

Me, looking around for signs of life, being the only one on location at the given call time.

FILM SYNOPSIS:

The film follows a college student, Alex, who gets into a fight with Tejas, another student, and how things spiral out of control from that moment onwards. While this happens, Rahul, Alex’s new flatmate, tries to understand the situation and comfort Alex.
