“Antar” is a short film by Anoushka Rege (her directorial debut) made for her graduation project at Srishti Manipal Institute in April 2024. I worked on Anoushka’s crew as one of two Directors of Photography, with Suryadevsinh Parmar as well as one of the editors.
As the DP, I worked with the director to bring her vision to life. Working closely with Surya, we carefully blocked each shot to bring out the story within them while keeping the larger picture in mind and making each visual a striking one.
As an editor, I helped create a coherent story through the edit, seamlessly stitching scenes together and molding the visual sequences into an engaging finished output.
FILM SYNOPSIS:
A conflict between Renuka, a career-focused journalism intern, who leaves home late at night when she is called for an emergency assignment, and Apurva, her worried mother, who struggles to shed the image of a small girl still dependent on her parents.
